EUROPEAN CITIES: VENICE

Although entirely worthy of its World Heritage status, I found Venice one of the more difficult locations to photograph. Unlike most modern cities that are still evolving and changing, the absolute priority for Venice is preservation and stability. Ironically, this makes it difficult not simply to repeat an image already taken thousands of times. So, here I have included a range of the expected images with a smattering of - hopefully - the unexpected, whhich try to capture more of life away from the tourists on which the city so heavily relies.
